Seeking Passionate Educators! Part-Time or Full-Time

K-12th Grade (Science, Math, Writing, Early Literacy, or Your area of Domain Expertise)

• Have you ever wanted to be a teacher but didn’t follow the traditional path?

• Do you have an immense passion for subjects students would love to learn or benefit from? (even ones that aren’t traditionally taught in schools…)

• Do you seek a job high on fulfillment, purpose, and community?

We are looking for an incredibly passionate educator who wants to teach, tutor, and mentor students in a loving, creative, multi-aged learning environment. We seek a person who (preferably) understands project-based learning, classroom differentiation, and curriculum development or someone willing to dive in and learn about these subjects and techniques. We want someone who is willing to be a continual learner and approach things from many different perspectives and modalities.

Although formal teaching experience can be helpful, it is not required! Many of our teachers come from different careers and find a home sharing and developing their passions with students. We believe great teachers are found everywhere!

There are many ways we can work together, such as…

• Individual Tutoring/Coaching/Mentoring of students of all ages and subjects

• Assisting Teacher with Students for deeper learning and behavior management

• Creating courses and helping to create new curricula that students find more engaging than traditional methods.

Responsibilities: As an Educator at the REALM, you will have the opportunity to:

• Teach with Passion: Share your love for your domain of expertise with students, encouraging them to explore, question, and discover.

• Inspire Learning: Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a genuine love for learning.

• Customize Curriculum: Develop and customize a curriculum that aligns with your expertise and passion, offering unique and inspiring classes that captivate students' interest.

• Collaborate: Work closely with a supportive and passionate team of educators who share your commitment to student success.

About REALM

After spending the last 13 years on the vanguard of radically different education, REALM has continued growing and is expanding to provide the full spectrum of education from K-12. Through word-of-mouth, we have grown to serve around 140 students each semester in an approach that has no grades, blended-age classrooms, and over 30 class spots a week for each student to build their unique schedules and learning plans.

REALM is not just a school but the beginning of a movement. We are building community partnerships, developing a foundation to include more diverse learners, and facilitating connections with education leaders around the country to collaborate with and learn from. 

So we need someone who wants to be part of the mission! We need someone drenched in passion for education, who accepts and loves all different types of people (children and their parents), and who is committed to lifelong learning. We are happy to meet with people from all different backgrounds.
