At the REALM, kids choose what they want to learn, teachers choose what they teach - making our days here pretty awesome! With over 120 kid classes + tutoring + music lessons + camps - you can custom design an educational journey that works for you!

Our Model

At REALM, we have unbundled the traditional system of education, giving families and kids ultimate freedom in lego-blocking their own custom schedule:

  • Choose from over 120 unique classes

  • Attend from 1-5 days per week anytime from 9am-4:30pm

  • Or come for tutoring, after-school classes or camps!

All of our kid classes are designed to inspire, challenge, and ignite passions in ways that learning feels fun and applicable to real-world life. Teachers choose what and how they teach, unlocking REAL passion!

We currently serve ages 5 to 15 (and are expanding) with classes, experiences, and events in Santa Monica!,

Who We Serve

We serve all kids: homeschoolers, unschoolers, traditional schoolers, kids who love school, and kids with educational trauma. We run all of our kid classes in Santa Monica.

Many kids come to the REALM all day, everyday, using our classes as the backbone of their education.

Other families supplement an already robust homeschool program of their own design, with kids taking only a couple classes on various days.

Those who attend more traditional schools experience the REALM after school classes or during our spectacular summer semester!

Where we are…where we are going…

Currently located in our original location on Pico & 4th Street in Santa Monica - we have served kids with classes for 14 years in this little place we have made our home. Originally an old vacuum repair shop, we have really brought some magic into the space. Over 3,800 kids have come through our doors and we have become one big giant family as a result.

In the next year, we plan to expand into a bigger space where we can really let the REALM extravaganza of educational excitement explode into:

  • new makerspaces

  • theatre rooms

  • AI enabled computer labs and more

  • the launch of our REALM High School - REALM Academy.

The big dream…
